The rails would have been faster to model, but I thought it might be nice to have a procedural rail asset for future kitbashing. Plus, it was fun to make.

ITER Nuclear Fusion Test Site

This was my first time participating in a large community 3D art challenge (Blender Community on Discord). The theme was "Machinery" and I was very pleasantly surprised to win first place! No premade assets were used. All models, decals, and textures were made by me in a week. Since it was just for fun, I took some (*cough* many) creative liberties with various aspects of the reactor design.

I would have liked to do more with the foreground and design a better internal glow (the current design was just supposed to be a placeholder, but some freelance work came up so I had to move on). Classic artist...gets first place, still isn't happy. :P Overall, had a lot of fun with this project and ITER.org had some amazing reference material.
