I grabbed a few reference images for the style and found an image of a kitchen that could use a remodel, then aligned my camera to match the original photo. My goal was to make the space feel a lot larger while maintaining all of the function and, of course, bring it up to modern visual standards. Total time spent modeling and texturing was about 3-4 hours (not including the apples and plant, which were downloaded assets).
